The auditors review that the region's resources are used correctly and that the accounts are accurate. The auditors examine whether boards and committees meet their goals, whether governance and follow-up are sufficient, and whether the region's various operations function well. The auditors also review the municipal companies owned by the region, as well as the annual report and interim report.

At the audit office, seven investigators with different educational backgrounds work. The work is led by the audit director. As an investigator, you provide expert support to the region's elected auditors. The office has an open and unpretentious work climate, and we often serve as sounding boards for each other. The audits are conducted independently or in teams. We also collaborate with consultants to ensure expertise in specific areas.

We participate annually in various training sessions, seminars, and conferences to further our education. Each employee's needs and wishes for professional development and further education are discussed during performance reviews. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a qualified investigator with us, you create conditions for collaboration, new knowledge, and a strong future. In your role, you contribute to the development and improvement of the region's operations.

If you want to work with varied tasks, this is the job for you. You will work both with reviewing accounts and operations. At times, the focus will be on auditing the region's accounts, while at other times of the year, the focus will be on reviewing the region's operations.

The review of the accounts will be conducted in teams and led by a senior employee at the audit office. The accounts are reviewed according to the standards for municipal accounting audits. The accounting review is in a startup phase, and you will be involved in building routines and working methods.

The review of the operations primarily involves initiating, planning, and conducting qualified audits of the region's operations. Methods we commonly use include document analysis and interviews with politicians, managers, and employees in the region's operations. We also conduct sampling, surveys, and register analyses. We compile the audits into reports.

The results are presented to the elected auditors. It is important that the reports are pedagogical and summarize observations and analyses. We write our reports in clear language. The recipients of the reports, in addition to the region's elected auditors, include politicians, managers, and employees in the region, as well as journalists and interested citizens. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a university or college degree focused on social sciences. It is an advantage if you have an educational background in accounting or auditing.
• It is advantageous if you have previously worked with accounting audits or have prior experience in layman audits. Experience in operational audits may also be beneficial.
• Enjoys writing and working with texts and has a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is an advantage if you can write texts in clear language.
• Has good experience documenting investigations in reports. It is advantageous if you have methodological knowledge of documentation studies, interviews, sampling, surveys, or register analysis.
• Has good analytical skills and is driven, curious, meticulous, structured, and responsible.
• Can work independently and has good collaboration skills when working in teams.
• Has high integrity and good social competence.
• Is flexible and enjoys delving into new issues and assignments.
